Pylon is hiring: Head of Processing in Phoenix.
Duties
- Own processing domain expertise from submission through underwriting readiness.
- Identify repetitive processing work that should be standardized, automated, or eliminated.
- Translate processing workflows, edge cases, and expert judgment into product requirements and operating rules.
- Build human-review queues, SLAs, escalation paths, and controls for unsupported or ambiguous cases.
- Establish metrics for cycle time, manual touches, aging, exception rates, quality, and automated workflow coverage.
Required profile
- Significant mortgage processing leadership experience at a scaled lender.
- Strong preference for wholesale mortgage experience.
- Experience operating at hundreds or thousands of loans per month.
- Strong analytical and operational judgment.
- Proven ability to improve throughput, quality, cycle time, or workflow design.
